Stablex specializes, among other things, in the disposal of soils contaminated with metals and inorganic contaminants. We can also accept soils with mixed contamination of inorganic and organic compounds under certain conditions.
At Stablex, there is no direct landfill
All contaminated soils and hazardous waste materials received are treated at the plant. The treated contaminated soils are mixed with other liquid and solid materials, followed by the addition of cementitious materials. The product resulting from these treatments, called stablex, is then sent to our secure placement cells as an inert product.
Stablex participates in the Traces Québec soil traceability program and the ClimatSol-Plus program. Moreover, our site is authorized by the MELCC.
