Stablex regional winner of the CNESST Grands Prix
It is with great pride that Stablex received, on Tuesday July 17th, 2018, the regional distinction for health and safety Grands prix from the CNESST. This award highlights the team's efforts in establishing a precursor program for permanent fall protection devices while working at heights.
Stablex has willingly defined new requirements that surpass fall protection standards for all work at heights. In Quebec, standards apply from a standard height of 10 feet, while Stablex has established new safety measures from 4 feet, to minimize the risk of injury related to this type of accident.
Specific solutions on site include additional equipment such as retractable lifelines, modifications to existing structures such as the addition of guardrails and new structures such as an unloading arch coupled to a protection system against falls.
The new program is innovative. On the one hand, it has been supported by the management team through significant human and financial resources. On the other hand, the program has made it possible to change work habits and obtain real collaboration from employees, customers, suppliers, carriers, etc.
Stablex's health and safety policy has always been preventive and the newly rewarded program is a great example of this commitment. This latest distinction motivates the team to continue its exemplary work.
Stablex is now in the race for the national level of the CNESST Grands Prix.
